ReplyDeleteMy sister-in-law, whom just passed away had a copy of this. But, I never noticed the background with all of the people going up the hill. She was African American, and her service was held at a predominantly Anglo church. It was so moving because the church was full. The priest said that he wished he saw this many people of color in his church, and that it would be a great day when that happened.
Well, we did it that day. The service was beautiful. A pianist played old negro spirituals, and I know my sister was looking down, smiling.:-D

Go to art galleries and museums that showcase Black art and see our history our culture.
